I am an unpublished writer. Completed one 120,000-word slow-burn EcoSciFi. Got about a dozen query rejections. In the thick of writing three others. Let us look into who are making the most money on Substack. Do you think you will be able to be listed in the top 10 in the next three years?

   Over 2.6 million total subscribers, with hundreds of thousands of paying readers. Estimated annual revenue: up to $59.9 million.

There could be fluctuations in subscriber count. It is noteworthy that Lenny Rachitsky and Gergely Orsosz almost doubled up their subscriber count from around 500k to over 1 million. Heather Cox Richardson saw the biggest increase of 1.3 million, totaling 2.6 million.

As previously mentioned, I’d start a literary award in the subgenre of EcoSciFi fiction, when my subscriber count goes up to over 1 million.
